You will find Chora Sfakion, also called Sfakia, on the south coast of Crete, approximately 70 km south of Chania.
The village and surroundings have a lot to offer, because of their location between the warm Lybian Sea and the 2500m high "White Mountains". Here you will find many of the famous cretan gorges like the Imbros, the Aradena and of course the Samaria (which is the deepest and longest gorge of all Europe!) as well as quiet beaches and the incomparable beautiful nature.
For walkers Sfakia is one of the most attractive places in Crete but also those who just want to relax or to swim will get their money's worth. There is a diving centre in the village and you can make boat trips to Loutro, Agia Roumeli (Samaria gorge), Paleochora and to the southernmost spot of Europe; the Isle of Gavdos.
